Alexia is five and a half years old and has leukemia. She has gone through so much: IV treatments, injections, painful nights, and tears instead of being just a child who, until recently, can run, laugh, and dream without a care in the world. She is trying to be brave, and sometimes she smiles. Together with her family we are begging you to help us save Alexia.
The journey toward healing will be long. They will need to remain in Rome for at least a year, and the costs are overwhelming. Every day brings treatment, medical appointments, accommodation, and the hope that one day the doctors will tell the parents that Alexia is going to be okay.
