My name is Marina Cernavca. I was born in Moldova and immigrated to the United States when I was 21 years old. I now live in New York City and I am a mother of a 5 year old baby girl. She is my strength and the reason I wake up each day with purpose.

I grew up in a Christian Orthodox family. My dad would take me to church on Sundays and talk about God and the importance of being kind. He would say “We all have a purpose in this life, we must be kind and help others no matter the circumstances. You give a little and God will give back 10 times more”.  So, I grew up with this legacy, and I’m trying to pass it on to my daughter as well.  

I’ve always loved helping people, being useful and supportive.  

I am extremely happy to be part of a fundraiser who helps kids all over the world, and I thank you for giving me this opportunity! God bless you all!
