This is a mother’s message regarding her 3 year old son Vladimir from Vaslui, Romania:
Hello!
My name is Amalia Diana Grecu and I come with a prayer to all those who know us and to those who have the opportunity and desire to help us.
Our son, Vladimir, was born with a congenital malformation at the level of the skull. Malformation that endangers the optimal development of the brain, the risk of intracranial pressure being the main danger when it comes to this condition. Intracranial pressure involves exophthalmos, strabismus, binocular vision disorders, decreased visual acuity up to loss of vision, vomiting, headaches, behavioral disorders, decreased cognitive functions.
This was the reason why in August 2022, when Vladimir was 8 months old, he had his first surgical intervention. Over time, the shape of the head did not change as it should have, so at our insistence we also did a CT scan, which we later sent to America, to Dr. Jeffrey Fearon in Dallas, TX. He recommends the second operation, the justification for this decision being the fact that the first one was incompletely performed, and the risk of intracranial pressure still exists.
The costs are enormous for us, the operation alone being approximately $60,000 and we need to collect all these pennies by March 31.
Our Vladimir needs this intervention to be out of any risk and to correct all the defects that remained after the first intervention.
